Purpose of Position:
In this role, you will work to deploy, debug, and bring new assets into production.
We look for you to develop new technology to improve manufacturing operations.
Lead migration of new Processes, Products, and Technologies with a focus on process improvement and engineering.
You will provide technical expertise in glass-forming, surface preparation, coating technologies and related manufacturing equipment, supporting the manufacturing and product development for the business.

Key
Responsibilities:

  • Reducing defects by eliminating root causes.
  • Lead all activity related to achieving process objectives.
  • Technical analysis of processes.
  • Application of analytical results to improving processes and meeting customer requirements.
  • Interface with Development for production trials of new products, processes, and technology.
  • Interface with external manufacturing to facilitate the introduction of new processes, products, and technology.
  • Design and implementation of process experiments.
  • Project leadership:
    Develop new technology to improve manufacturing operations and product attributes.
  • New technology includes operational practices, raw materials, and process design.
  • Participate in projects and execute to project portfolio.
  • Manufacturing support.
    Provide third-level troubleshooting for operational issues.
  • Lead/support manufacturing startups and expansions where new technology is involved.
  • Lead/support equipment repair activities as required where new technology is involved.
  • Validate production processes as needed using site validation processes.
    Establish and implement validation master plans and document validation results.
    Identify processes operating outside of validated state through production audits and take corrective actions to return processes to normal operation.
  • Closely adhere to requirements of the plant quality systems including compliance to the change control procedure when introducing or modifying manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance of business and quality systems in manufacturing, i.

    OSHA, ISO9001, ISO13485, QSR CFR 21 part 820, GMP, etc.
    through audits against documented procedures.
  • Take corrective action when audits identify any non-conforming process.

Travel Requirements:

  • Short term (first 1-6 months):
    up to 50%
  • Long term (>6months)
  • We anticipate less than 5% travel is required for this role.

Hours of work/work schedule:

  • Monday Friday, 8:

  • Expect 45-50 hours per week on average.
  • Weekend work required during start-ups and major projects or process activity.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical, Ceramic, Materials, Mechanical or related discipline.

Required Years and Area of
Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years in glass or ceramic process or manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Required Skills:

  • Rigorous problem solving - Proficient in the use of DOE, SPC, Six Sigma and other process control/ analysis techniques
  • Experience completing projects in a manufacturing organization
  • Decision making based on data
  • Proven solution implementation experience.

Desired Skills:

  • Master s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Glass manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Process excellence (Six Sigma) Green Belt or higher
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Capable of leading small process development / improvement projects
  • Innovation experience

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
