Administrative Officer

Duties to include but not limited to:
Maintains responsibility for the coordination of the Service's Quality Improvement Programs; Provides input and recommendations in connection with a wide variety of management decision making activities; Coordinates the Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) programs for providers within the Pharmacy Service; Collaborates with the Chief of Pharmacy in order to formulate and disseminate the clinical agenda, various reports, and minutes for the Medical Center's Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings; Ensures that P&T minutes are prepared for review by the Executive Council; Provides information and participates in annual management reviews, management briefings, and personnel management reviews for the service; Assists with the development of long and short-term internal policies, goals, plans, and objectives; Provides support and workload data to the Chief of the Pharmacy Service; Serves at the Talent Management System (TMS) Coordinator for the service; Provides and coordinates training and guidance; Coordinates and assists with new staff training and ongoing educational activities; Develops and maintains information concerning medical record completion; Provides technical and administrative services/assistance to the service staff members for gathering, and compiling materials for special projects, reports, and policy development purposes; Prepares resource requests for submission to the Executive Resource Board; Analyzes data from multiple sources in order to prepare staffing, space and equipment initiatives; Presents related findings, promoting these initiatives in order to influence managerial decisions that will positively impact the effectiveness and efficiency of the Pharmacy Service; Prepares Pharmacy Service budget projections; Records and organizes documents related to expenditures in order to provide accurate and timely data; Serves as the Contract Officer Representative (COR) for the Pharmacy Service; Maintains responsibility for the property assigned to the Pharmacy Service; Conducts analyses of space requirements for the service in conjunction with program coordinators; Maintains responsibility for personnel administration with the service; Acts as a reviewing authority in coordination with the Human Resources Management Service (HRMS); Provides administrative supervision to the clerical and technical support personnel; Attends hearings as needed to involve working with District Counsel, Special Counsel, EEO Investigators, the Office of Inspector General (OIG), and others in resolving personnel related problems and in taking personnel actions. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-9. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-9 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
information management, resource and operational management, clinical practice management and administrative process and policy expertise. OR, Education:
Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related. A transcript must be submitted with your application if you are basing all of your qualifications on education. OR, Combination:
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. To calculate, first identify the percentage of required education you have earned. Then identify the percentage of required experience you possess. Add the two percentages; the total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify at the GS-11. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
