Major duties include but not limited to:
Responsible for producing broadcast quality video product, live television programs, radio broadcasts, motion picture films, photography, broadcasted closed circuit teleconferences, and other productions request for the Durham VA Healthcare System. Recommends visual aids, photography, scripts, scenery and special effects. Operates and maintains audiovisual equipment to include video cameras, 35 mm digital and film photographic equipment and video editors. Makes decisions or provides advice on matters that influence the basic content and aesthetic character of the final product. Produces a variety of audiovisual items such as digital images used for multimedia projects and internal informational presentations. Utilizes video/audio materials and electronically edits and processes these materials into a smooth-flowing, cohesive completed product, by operating and manipulating video/audio switchers, video image size, frame speed, computerized automatic editing equipment, generating artistic pleasing graphic/text images and special effects. Performs other duties as assigned. Promotion Potential:
The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. Work Schedule:

Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-10 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-10. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:

The work requires some physical exertion such as continual movement of hand and arms, standing, reaching, bending and climbing as well as lifting materials up to 10 pounds. May occasionally handle items weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires ability to distinguish shades of color. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
