Administrative Officer

Major duties include but not limited to:
Serves as the Administrative Officer (AO) for the Patient Experience Office and Public Affairs Office. Oversees equipment acquisitions, submitting and approving equipment requests for each department. Initiates and coordinates requests for equipment repairs as well as, installations and relocations of telephones, computers, printers, etc. Incumbent serves as ADPAC and Personnel Identify Verifications (PIV) point of contact for both services and maintains working knowledge of the badging systems, coordinating clearances and access for assigned employees, visitors and contractors. Responsible for acquiring and maintaining knowledge of information security and ensuring the users in their work area/service are educated on information security issues. Manages the supply needs for the department by preparing and reviewing purchase order for supplies and non-expendable property such as equipment. Prepares all personnel action for employees within the Public Affairs and Patient Experience offices and ensures the resignation, terminations, appointments, etc., are accurately completed, documented and submitted in a timely manner. Advises management officials, supervisors, and employees on the interpretation and application of a variety of human resources policies, practices, and procedures including staffing, classification, employee relations, benefits, and related areas. Assembles and compiles budget information and maintains a running account of funds allocated and expended in all sub accounts. Serves as primary records manager for the departments, ensuring the timeliness and proper storage, security, and destruction of all department records, electronic and hardcopy documentation. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating and monitoring the functions of administrative services within an office; completing and reviewing reports; preparing letters, reports and presentations; and maintaining files and documents. NOTE:

Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have one (1) full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. For GS-9:

Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-07 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating and monitoring the functions of administrative services within an office; completing and reviewing reports; preparing letters, reports and presentations; maintaining files and documents; knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques to analyze both administrative and operational problems, and present written and oral recommendations. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two year of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or if related LL.B or JD. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
