Electronic Technician

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Knowledge to recognize the ability to merge components of different systems while assuring compatibility and continuity for the critical functions associated with the equipment. Technical knowledge of highly complex medical and non-medical direct patient care electronic systems and devices. Technical knowledge of electronically challenging interfaces such as, locks controlled by the security system which is also tied into the Fire Alarm system to release in case of fire, wandering system, Nurse call system integrates with the Code Blue system. Identify and analyzes problems; uses sound reasoning to arrive at conclusions; finds alternative solutions to complex problems; distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical judgements. Ability to evaluate, identify and provide corrective action and recommendations for equipment system malfunctions of complex microprocessor-based systems that utilize state of the art technology and have vitally interrelated and sometimes dispersed subsystems. Knowledge of the design and operation of electric circuit boards, processors, chips, and computer hardware or software systems, including applications and programming. Ability to performs as a team player, provides positive recommendations for solutions to problems, while ensuring quality customer service. Ability to meet the needs of customers while supporting the mission, while, consistently communicating and treating customers and their representatives, visitors, and staff in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner. Ability to provide the customer with consistent information according to established policies and procedures, handle conflicts, problems and dealing with the customer constructively and appropriately. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-9. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining complex computer-based research systems and equipment functioning accurately and reliably; writing technical report(s) on projects in regard to progress, evaluation, analysis and conclusion on the application of new or modified devises; and supervising the operation of all supporting and component equipment of air conditioning systems including cooling towers, fans and pumps You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

Physical Requirements:
Physical demands of this position involves walking, stooping, sitting, climbing ladders, standing, and long periods of intense concentration. Routinely required to crawl on rooftops and under buildings to investigate equipment malfunctions and recommend alternate methods and or other resolutions as applicable. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
