Job Summary
The NetApp Lab on Demand is a globally distributed organization that provides NetApp and NetApp partner staff with access to dynamically-provisioned, private lab environments for demonstration, education, and product support purposes. These labs are used in support of all technology objectives of the Worldwide Field and Customer Organization (WWFCO) in pre- and post-sales functions.
Seeking
Demand for our services is high and we are increasing the capacity and capabilities of the core infrastructure. In addition, we have been defining a structured approach to our content development efforts and expanding the variety of lab environments available.
Currently, we are seeking an experienced individual to focus on the design and development activities for lab environments both from an infrastructure and content perspective. The role involves extensive interaction with subject matter experts in the WWFCO and in the various business units, and requires a broad set of technology skills.
Essential Functions
Example responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Guiding development discussions with subject matter experts and defining appropriate lab architecture designs for the Lab on Demand virtual infrastructure
Develop lab configuration guides to allow reproduction of the environments by parties external to NetApp.
Determining division of development responsibilities for each lab environment and determining level of effort required
Creating architecture diagrams and configuration guides for each lab environment
Providing base development environments for developers in a VMware environment
Leading testing of the environments and integrating them into the automation system
Providing feedback from the user community to the subject matter experts to guide future development activities for the lab environments
Assisting the help desk with questions regarding the lab environments
Monitoring usage of the lab environments and determining End of Support (EOS) and End of Availability (EOA) dates
Defining requirements for Lab on Demand infrastructure enhancements necessary to support new lab environments Job Requirements Requirements
Technical
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to apply them to solve customer business problems
Strong knowledge of at least one server virtualization technology (e.g., VMware)
Strong knowledge of at least one major UNIX or UNIX-like OS (e.g., Linux and Solaris) and also one Windows OS (e.g., 2012 server)
Excellent understanding of NetApp storage systems and storage protocols (e.g., NFS, CIFS, FC SAN, and iSCSI SAN)
Good knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python); and knowledge of automation systems desirable
Knowledge of specific public cloud provider capabilities (e.g. Amazon EC2, Azure) and functionality desirable
Non-Technical
Willing and able to travel occasionally, domestic and international (5-10%)
Ability to clearly articulate (written and verbal) complex technical topics
Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
Project management or technical coordination/leadership skills
Ability to work collaboratively with employees within the group and across functions Education and Experience Education and Experience
A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related field is required
At least 12 years of experience is required; experience in a pre-sales technical role is strongly preferred

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
