Associate Director or Director, Health Economic and Outcomes Research

Position Overview:
The Associate Director/ Director, Health Economic and Outcomes Research will lead the development, management, design, implementation and delivery of Global or regional health outcome strategy & tactical plans for specific product(s) or disease area(s) to support the strategic objectives of company products during discovery, development, launch and/or life cycle management as appropriate.
Key Accountabilities /
Responsibilities:
Lead effective generation, implementation, and communication of health outcome strategy, tactical plans and deliverables globally and regionally, both to internal and external audiences for multiple products and disease areas
Supervise/coordinate and/or lead the design of Health Outcome studies and instruments and contribute to the development of economic models to demonstrate the economic and humanistic benefits of UT products in a rigorous and timely manner
Develop presentations, manuscripts, registry summaries and advise on promotional pieces to communicate/disseminate HO data
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on clinical phase development plans, market access dossiers and, if applicable, health technology assessments
Leverage HO data with Payers and Providers through appropriate/approved mechanisms
Assess need and train field staff on HO data and promotional materials as appropriate
Develop and maintain excellent working relations with external HO experts/thought leaders to ensure appropriate methods in health economics and quality of life research are applied, in accordance with UT's policies
Manage projects of external consultants/CROs/third parties to achieve project objectives within timelines and within budget
Manage multiple HEOR related budgets
Maintain awareness and current working knowledge of HEOR regulatory legislation and assesses its impact on UT
Assess business development opportunities and prepare recommendations from HEOR perspective
Minimum Requirements:
MD, PhD, or PharmD with health economics fellowship and 7 years' experience or a Master's degree in health economics/outcomes research with 10 years' experience in health related outcomes research in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment
Extensive knowledge of health outcomes research methodologies, statistics, PROs, study design, data collection and analyses
Excellent communication skills - able to present proposals and data to internal stakeholders, and be able to work with multiple internal groups, as well as develop relationships with external key opinion leaders
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High level of proficiency using MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
Microsoft SharePoint and Veeva experience is preferred
Ability to initiate and manage day-to-day tasks effectively, with a high degree of self-motivation
Ability to manage vendors conducting HEOR research and all associated budgets to that research.
Must be able to direct the work of others in support of the overall projects and collaborate with senior managers in key stakeholder areas
Ability to travel 20%
