Summary
Job Description:
Supervise, coordinate and participate in the development of projects and materials involving creative writing and related communications in support of DUHS institutional and referring physician strategies; coordinate print and e-publications geared towards referring physicians.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Supervise, coordinate and participate in the strategic and conceptual development of projects and materials involving creative writing and related communications in support of DUHS institutional and referring physician strategies. (20%)
Coordinate multiple versions of Clinical Practice Today (print and e-publications); manage development and production; direct photography and artwork; assume full responsibility for writing, copy editing and proofreading. (40%)
Develop and maintain working relationships with administrators and clinical staff within an assigned area. Consult with administrators and clinical staff to develop communications strategies that support identified marketing goals; identify needs, objectives and design approaches; develop schedules and budgets as required for each project. (20%)
Develop and maintain professional contacts and affiliations with media, production and related resources to complete projects effectively and to facilitate and promote the dissemination of news and publicity about the University. (10%)
Monitor and analyze communications activities in order to optimize strategies for communicating to the referring physician audience. (10%)

Qualifications:
Education: Work requires the ability to perform creative writing and related activities such as conducting interviews and research, and copy editing normally acquired through attainment of a bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or a related discipline.
Experience: Work requires four years of directly related writing experience in writing and editing on assignment under deadlines.
