As a Senior Technology Architect, you will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; provide technology consultation; assist in defining scope and sizing of work; anchor Proof of Concept developments and support opportunity identification and pursuit processes and evangelize Infosys brand. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, lead and participate in sales and pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. Location for this position is Durham NC. This position may require 50% travel or relocation

Qualifications
Basic
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider three years of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education
At least 11 years of experience with Java and related technologies
Preferred
At least 10 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks
In-depth knowledge of UML Design, different Design Patterns.
Expertise in Java Programming, Web based development , JSP and J2EE related technologies , Java Multithreaded programming, Java Beans, JMX, Spring/Struts Framework, Apache Tomcat Web Server, Unit Testing Frameworks, Object Relational Mapping (ORM) Tool, Security Framework /Concepts, Web Services and SOAP.
Should have expertise in designing, developing and deploying softwares using the Service Oriented Architecture, Enterprise Service Bus and JMS.
Good Knowledge of XML and related technologies (like DOM, SAX, XPATH, JAXB, XML Beans and XSLT etc.)
Knowledge of scripting languages (like Java Script, Perl Script and shell script) for web based client/server application development.
Expertise in build automation tools (e.g. Maven, Ant)
Working knowledge of any one RDBMS product. Oracle is preferred.
Working Knowledge of Specific Tools: IDE's such as Eclipse or NetBeans, Source controls such as CVS, SVN.
Exposure to Web/Application Servers e.g. Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, WAS
Knowledge of Performance Tuning and Profiling of application.
Exposure to Agile Software Development methods will be plus
At least 10 years of experience in defining and detailing architecture and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
At least 10 years of experience in defining new architectures and driving an independent project from an architectural stand point.
At least 10 years of experience in defining technology solutions for Retail domain to solve business/ IT problem.
Experience in providing advanced technology advisory services.
Understanding of market and technology trends.
Analytical skills
Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel
The job entails an extensive amount of travel. The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
