DUTIES: Develop software solutions for external EMC clients based on detailed specifications from technology/system consultants. Responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation and analysis of modules or features of new or upgraded software systems and EMC products. May develop a range of EMC products including device drivers, patches, operating system modifications, and EDI routines. Plan, design, develop, and test software systems or applications for software enhancements and new EMC products. Write high level design specs, unit test plans and/or integration test plans. Design, implement and support solutions in the Filesystem layer of EMCs block storage virtual provisional stack. Quickly triage time-critical customer issues pertaining to various storage features like snapshots, deduplication, autotiering, replication, and compression. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Comp. Sci., Engin(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field. 24 months experience in job offered or student (RA/TA/project) or computer related occupation. Education or experience must include: 1) Distributed systems and networking; 2) Filesystem and storage internals; 3) Kernel debugging; 4) OS internals; 5) Development/debugging of device drivers; 6) Storage protocols; 7) Hadoop distributed processing of Big data; 8) Hadoop deployment in Cloud environment; 9) NAS; 10) UNIX; and 11) NFS. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
EOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
