Position: Computer Operator
Location: Research Triangle Park NC
Schedule: 1pm - 11:30pm Monday - Thursday
Projected duration: 3 months

This position will report to the operators shift supervisor. The qualified candidate will be responsible for:
Monitoring of our server and network infrastructure through use of our data center tools
Opening and closing tickets within our ticketing system, and manage/escalate problems to resolution
Maintaining logs and records, and generating reports as needed
Assisting in building and maintaining standard operating procedures within company, maintaining on-call lists, and calling support teams when necessary
Performing all related server room functions such as mounting magnetic tapes, monitoring of our data centers, shipping/receiving, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned
Skill requirements
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills; and both written and oral communication skills
Must have strong base knowledge/experience of data center operations, server, mainframe, and network infrastructure.
Must be able to work in a dynamic environment
Must show initiative, and have a desire to learn and expand their knowledge of technology and skillset
Working knowledge of Microsoft office
Machine: Calculator, personal computer.
Speech clarity, utilization of fingers and hands, standing-remaining on ones feet in an upright position, sitting-remaining in the normal seated position, handling-seizing, holding, grasping. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
Able to pass standardized color vision test, as required by test performed.
Normally requires an Associate or Bachelors Degree in computer science w/2-3 years of experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
