## Job Description
The AS GSP RTP Global Delivery Center provides high quality, timely, low cost service in support of the greater AS team. Our AS GDC team's primary focus is on optimizing remotely repeatable tasks (such as Cisco Network Optimization Service), staffing tactical needs throughout the region, and developing top talent for assignments throughout the US and Canada. The senior Network Consulting Engineer (NCE) role is an ideal job for people who can combine technical expertise, professional excellence and consulting skills with strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
GDC senior NCEs are responsible for:
Mentoring junior engineers as they develop a solid knowledge of baseline Advanced Services (AS) skills
Leading and participating in technical and professional trainings (in-person, virtually, and through self-study)
Leading projects and assignments, showing by example how assignments should be completed to meet customer and team requirements
Achieving customer billable utilization metrics, including accepting assignments requiring travel throughout the Americas
Completing assignments with a high degree of client and customer satisfaction
Support delivery of service program to major accounts
Review network requirements and produce high and low level network designs
Review customer Implementation and Change Management Plans
Plan and execute complex Network Upgrade and Network Migration activity
Troubleshoot and resolve complex customer network problems across a broad range of technologies
Act as a technical focal point for large account network problem resolution
Generate reusable Intellectual Capital in the form of standard customer deliverables
Passing CCIE and CCDE certification exams within the first 6 months of employment
Leverage and contribute to Virtual Teams
Question ways of working and suggest improvement

Education and Eligibility Requirements:
Typically requires BS, CS, or University degree equivalent plus a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in network engineering or telecommunications support environment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience (including military, technical school, professional training / certifications) will also be considered
Expert level internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
Ability to undertake support as designated Advanced Services engineer for large-scale networks.
Must possess strong technical account management skills.
Large-scale network design skills.
In-depth knowledge of network management, network availability and capacity planning.
CCIE/CCDE certification, OR equivalent military training/experience
Ability to live and work in the United States with no additional VISA sponsorship from Cisco
Current certification as a CCIE or CCDE strongly preferred
Prior experience as a Cisco NCE preferred
Ability and willingness to travel is strongly preferred
Passing CCIE or CCDE certification exams within 12 months of employment
