PR Account Executive

Rubberneck Media, a division of THE REPUBLIK, is looking for a full-time Public Relations Specialist to join our team. Candidates should have a BA/BS in journalism, communications or related field from a four-year college and 3-5 years of public relations and account management work experience (agency experience preferred, but not required).
DUTIES &
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development & execution of marketing, social media & PR campaigns
- Write, edit and distribute press releases, media advisories, byline articles, correspondence and reports
- Secure placements in broadcast, print and online media outlets
- Correspond with media contacts and pitch story ideas
- Represent and speak on behalf of clients at community projects/events
- Manage the distribution of media outreach materials, including press kits
- Conduct extensive research and compile targeted media lists
- Monitor, track, and analyze media coverage and report to clients
- Prepare and present annual public relations plans to clients
- Manage brand/client social channels and create engaging online content
- Deliver projects on time and within budget
- Assist the Strategic Director in creating and developing client presentations/proposals
- Showcase leadership abilities by keeping current on the industry trends and issues affecting clients business
SKILLS:
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with a team and independently
- Deliver creative and innovative thinking
- Be self-motivated, outgoing, confident, energetic and creative
- Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong Keynote, Numbers and Pages skills
- Experience using public relations management software, such as Vocus
- Proficient in the tactical use of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, blogs, YouTube, etc.)
