Security Engineer

Looking for a talented Security Engineer with a focus and experience in risk mitigation. Appropriate candidates should possess at least 3-7 years of directly related practical experience within the last two years, and demonstrated ability to carry out the functions of the
job
. We are looking for candidates who can provide a well-rounded knowledge and experience base in incident response and security event analytics. An overall flexibility and willingness to work under unpredictable time and project variables is essential.

The Security Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Experience with analyzing malware such as worm, Trojan Horse etc. with binary analysis tools
- Experience in security threat analysis
- Understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP)
- Experience using network security attack and prevention tools (wireshark, metasploit, snort)
- Experience developing tools for automation and/or other tasks
- Experience with perl, python
- BS or BSE in
computer
science/engineering, or equivalent experience


Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide detection and response to security
events
and incidents within the Customer Network as well as various supported customer networks
- PCI and Web application vulnerability scanning
- Security log manageme nt and monitoring
- Intrusion detections and prevention systems operations
- Vulnerability detection, assessment, and mitigation


Security Engineer Mandatory Skills

- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience- - 3-5 years of experience in areas of cyber security, malware analysis, networking/system administration or software development
- Experience with security research, reverse engineering and exploitation technology such as shellcode, heap spray, ROP, etc.
- Experience with security event triage and remediation
- Strong programming skills with scripting languages such as Perl or Python
- Strong working knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, IRC, RPC, DNS, etc.
- Candidate should possess knowledge in the following technical skills: Incident Response, Log Analysis, TCP/IP, Network Traffic Analysis, Antivirus/Malware, Intrusion Detection/Prevention, Packet Analysis Techniques, Event Correlation, and Incident Triage.
- Experience in security penetration testing
- Experience using ticketing systems such as Remedy
- Knowledge of application security including web applications, web services, XML, SOA, AJAX, JSON, and web scanning tools
- Knowledge of Strong Authentication, End Point Security, Internet Policy Enforcement, Firewalls, Web Content Filtering, Database Activity Monitoring (DAM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions


Security Engineer Preferred Skills

- Advanced degree and/or prior research experience with advanced security threats
- Experience working with the Open Source Security
community

- Security certifications: SANS/GIAC (GCIH, GCIA or GCUX), CCNA, CISSP, or CISA certifications would be assets

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
