Occ Summary
Research Scholar in the Department of Neurosurgery
Will be an individual(s) between years of medical school and who take a year off or are in between residency and fellowship
Act co-investigator on research projects
Develop research objectives, projects, and proposals
Conduct individual or collaborative research projects
Writing or contributing to publications or disseminating research findings using media appropriate to the discipline
Make presentations at conferences or exhibit work at other appropriate platforms
Assess, interpret, and evaluate outcomes of research
Develop new research concepts and ideas to extend intellectual understanding
Resolve problems of meeting research objectives and deadlines
Develop ideas for the application of research outcomes
Decide on research program and methodologies, in collaboration with PI, colleagues, and research team
Problem-solve research challenges and model development, as applicable
Contribute discrete components of a larger project under the general direction of a senior or principal researcher
Prepare complete documentation of research activities for reference purposes, including following applicable data management protocols
Analyze, interpret, and document research findings for review
Compare actual and expected results and suggest solutions to correct the deviations
Evaluate existing research or modeling techniques and recommend improvements to ensure quality and productivity
Assist in the preparation of proposals and reports

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
