About the Position:
This is an opportunity with one of the world's innovative leaders in the adhesives industry.
The role will involve in-depth analysis of manufacturing process flow, production issues and an opportunity to implement solutions to real-time manufacturing problems.
Potential Projects:
Design machine/equipment to replace manual cleaning process in the cartridge filling operation Identifying solutions to reduce/eliminate manual processes in the adhesive color tinting process Establish ERP inventory locations and supporting process to ensure sustainability Improve disposal processes for scrap material including hazardous waste with minimal expense; identify ways to reduce overall scarp production Validate effectiveness of transfer from one chemical cleaning solution to another; development supporting processes and retro-fit recycling equipment to service new cleaning chemical
Qualifications:
Must be a student currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field with a GPA of 3.
0 or higher.
Intermediate or Advance level proficiency in Excel.
Must be able to report to the IPS Adhesives facility in Durham, NC.
Strong research, analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Must be detail-oriented and able to adhere to project timelines.
Excellent written or oral communication skills.
