Summary:
A Dealer Detailer is responsible for ensuring that vehicles in a dealership's inventory are thoroughly cleaned, polished, and prepared for display and delivery.
They play a crucial role in maintaining the overall appearance and condition of the vehicles, enhancing the customer experience, and promoting sales.
Vehicle Cleaning and Detailing:
Clean and wash vehicles using appropriate cleaning agents, tools, and equipment.
Vacuum and steam clean interiors, including seats, carpets, and upholstery.
Remove stains, dirt, and debris from vehicle surfaces, both inside and outside.
Polish and wax vehicle exteriors to maintain a glossy and pristine appearance.
Apply appropriate coatings and protectants to surfaces to enhance durability.
Ensure windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces are spotless and streak-free.
Clean and shine wheels, tires, and other external components.
Inspection and Maintenance:
Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any damage, scratches, or dents.
Report any mechanical or cosmetic issues to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate records of vehicles in the detailing process and their status in our given software.
Coordinate with the sales team to prioritize vehicles for detailing based on demand.
Organize and arrange vehicles in the dealership's display area.
Customer Service:
Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
Address customer inquiries regarding vehicle detailing and appearance.
Provide advice on maintenance and care to help dealership preserve their vehicle's condition.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while operating cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Follow environmental regulations and disposal protocols for waste materials.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a safe and hazard-free environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in vehicle detailing or related field preferred but not a must.
Knowledge of various cleaning agents, tools, and equipment used in detailing.
Familiarity with different vehicle types and their maintenance requirements.
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality results.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Note:
This position may also involve window tinting duties.
Training will be provided for those without prior experience in this area.
