The Durham County NCWorks Career Center provides a full range of services to diverse categories of job seekers and employers to meet their employment and placement needs through:
assessment and development of job requirements; evaluation of experiences, skills and abilities; referral to jobs, job training programs, or other placement services.
The position is in a local office environment located in Durham.
The position will deliver employment services, job training, and labor market information services to customers seeking work and employers seeking workers in Durham County.
It will provide a full range of services to job seeking customers to meet their employment and training needs, including assessment, referral to jobs and job training programs, job development contacts and placement services.
It will supervise the operation of Re-employment Services and Eligibility Assessments (RESEA) programs in the Center.
The position will conduct interviews and input all relevant information into computer system and utilize database for researching job orders for possible referral.
It will provide career development assistance and refer to supportive services.
The position may contact businesses by phone and in person to discuss job listing and general services on behalf of customers.
It will plan, promote, review and evaluate services and advocate employment for customers with the business community and industry.
It may take job orders, input data and interview job seeker customers.
It will cross train in a variety of services offered by the Career Center.
It will interact closely with workforce partners in an Integrated Services Delivery (ISD) environment to ensure the appropriate delivery of services to all customers.
It may be asked to travel as requested based upon business need.
The work is performed under the supervision of the DWS Manager in the NCWorks Career Center in Durham County.
NOTE:
Special circumstances may require additional duties on a Center-by-Center basis and are at management's discretion.
May participate in an employer outreach program.

Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in human resource administration, case management, job development and placement, employment counseling, vocational guidance and counseling, social work, vocational rehabilitation, claims analysis, or related public contact work dealing with job applicants and employers in a variety of functions; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
