Front of House Staff Needed

Durham, NC Durham, NC Part-time Full-time Part-time Full-time $15 - $35 an hour $15 - $35 an hour 14 days ago 14 days ago 14 days ago The Nasher Cafe is looking to expand our Front of House team! We're a small yet tight knit team and many of us here have longevity working within such a beautiful art museum, which should say something about the work environment.
With the students returning to campus, we need a couple of SERVERS and a HOST who have daytime availability Tues-Sundays.
Money and schedule are great, most shifts are only 5hours and the pay averages between $25-$35/hr based off of a tip pooling system.
Must have qualities:
a strong sense of customer service and urgency; a sense of humor; flexibility with scheduling (we're open only 1 night a week and that's a must - Thursdays, but only until 10pm!); dedication to teamwork; fluidity in the day to day flow; an aptitude towards restaurant culture with all of its ups and downs (so at least a year of real serving experience please); and frankly, to just be an awesome person with the motivation to work hard and make money.
A couple of requirements as we are contracted by Duke:
the ability to pass a background check (no murderers please), full vaccination records (yes, Covid shots X 3), and the willingness to take a mugshot for their identification cards.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
