This key position supports the Safety Officer and the departmental safety training team in a broad range of program areas.
The Administrative Analyst will work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
Additionally, the Administrative Analyst will occasionally participate in field activities including but not limited to:
facility inspections, accident investigation, work site inspections and attend meetings as needed pertaining to safety and health for the department.
There will be frequent interaction and communication with vendors, the public and employees at all levels within the department.
Duties/Responsibilities
Providing assistance to safety officers in the coordination of safety programs and training.

Inspects and/or evaluates workplace environments, equipment and practices for compliance with rules and regulations.

Investigates accidents.

Maintains and updates safety plans, policies, and procedures.

Perform risk analysis, calculating statistical data for DART and incident rates, OSHA 300 log and recordkeeping.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Associate degree or equivalent in occupational health, safety, or a related field.

Three (3) years of occupational health, safety, or risk management experience
Environmental Safety and Health Programs (MESH) certification (or must be willing to obtain this certification within 3 month of start date)
Must have a valid, unrestricted, North Carolina driver's license or if you currently have another state driver's license, must be willing and able to obtain a valid NC driver's license within 60 days of hire Additional Preferred Skills
Experience training employees
Experience in two or more of the following safety topics:
PPE, LOTO, Confined Space, Trenching/Excavating, Fall Protection, Work Zone/Traffic Control, Heavy Equipment Operation, Rigging/Lift
AHA BLS Instructor CPR and AED.

Computer skills sufficient to maintain records and documentation (including spreadsheets) and to produce educational and instructional documents
Proficiency in MS Word
