Under minimum supervision, directs and/or provide professional nursing care for an assigned group of patients (4 weeks to geriatric).
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care.
Provides supervision and guidance to other member of the team; and may be authorized in the absence of the manager, to make decision affecting the Inpatient Unit.
Skills & Abilities o Able to work independently and meet established deadlines o Able to make sound and reasonable decisions o Highly organized o Ability to concentrate on many detailed requests despite numerous interruptions o Demonstrated accountability, openness, receptive to change, creativity and being innovative o Ability to identify and calmly handle inherently stressful situations with tact o Excellent communication skills o Ability to develop excellent working relationships with consumers and staff o Seeks guidance and assistance when needed o Ability to be flexible and take on new responsibilities Training, Education, & Experience o Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required o Current and active license in the State of North Carolina required o Must be able to communicate and understand the English language both verbal and written o BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required o A minimum of 2 years of previous Critical Care nursing experience required COVID-19 protocol:
