Our client, Kempower, is seeking two Service Technicians to support the company's expansion in the US market where it is rapidly scaling its operations to serve current and future US-based customers.
As Service Technician you will be servicing Kempower's charging equipment and components.
You will be carrying out the necessary testing and troubleshooting of the equipment, performing maintenance and repairs, and reporting the repairs directly to the customer and internally.
The ideal candidate is an energetic forward-thinking professional who enjoys a fast-paced and fast-growing environment.
To succeed in this role, you need strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, maintenance, and analytical skills, and experience with electronics/automation systems, logic controls, or similar.
Travel of a minimum of 50% is to be expected.
This position is based at Kempower's US HQ in Durham, NC, and reports to the Service Manager.
Responsibilities Ensure customer satisfaction by providing remote and on-site support and maintenance to US and Canadian customers Perform tasks according to electrical safety standards and regulations, and provide continuous improvements in this area Continuously help develop repair- and maintenance manuals by contributing technical documentation and providing technical support using ticketing systems, Teams, and other tools Analyze technical schematics presented Troubleshoot and practice problem-solving when visiting customers as necessary, and report findings to internal stakeholders Ability to travel a minimum of 50% Promote a supportive work environment that upholds Kempower's values of Together, Impact, Integrity, and Courage What We Expect from You Your experience & education Associate degree in electrical technology or a related field is a plus Multi-state electrical certifications are a plus Min.
3 years of experience in support, maintenance, and mechanical or electrical engineering Experience with troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance Experience reading and analyzing technical schematics Strong understanding of electronics, operations, and installations is a big plus Experience with various support tools, such as ticketing systems and Teams Proficient in MS Office Suite Skills, Traits & Style Outstanding English communication skills, both verbal and written.
