Familiarity with OSHA standards as they apply to educational environments Essential Functions The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for course preparation, delivery, grading, and records management.
The Instructor will work closely with his or her Director or Coordinator on matters related to and for the benefit of the HRD/Workforce Development program and its students.
Job Duties 1.
Teach all courses, as assigned, for the full duration of scheduled instruction 2.
Be fully prepared with a syllabus and instructional plans for each class session in accord with the stated objectives of the course 3.
Enforce academic policy and procedures at all times, and comply with institutional rules and regulations 4.
Maintain complete course and student records, reports, and forms 5.
Participates in the curriculum development and monitoring process.
6.
Makes recommendations for additions to, or upgrading of, curriculum, course materials, equipment, and textbooks.
7.
Shares course materials and insights with other faculty members.
8.
Keeps up-to-date and in contact with local employers regarding appropriateness of course/program content.
9.
Stay current with developments in the field of instruction 10.
Assume other necessary responsibilities and perform additional tasks as assigned by the chair, department dean, chief instructional officer, or president, in meeting the needs of the department, division, and college 11.
Assume responsibility for laboratory/classroom preparation, including maintenance and cleanup, and recommend, as necessary, appropriate laboratory supplies and equipment 12.
Facilitates classroom activities in a manner that is consistent with the course syllabus and outline.
13.
Utilizes active learning techniques to maintain a challenging learning environment for students; utilizes a variety of media/audio-visual/technology materials to achieve course goals and objectives, and to engage students representing variety of student learning styles.

Utilizes effective delivery skills (e.
g.
, eye contact, voice intonation, and various questioning techniques).
15.
Draws on personal experiences to relate the material presented.

Utilizes additional community resources in instruction (i.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
