30 pm shift) Onsite job only, no remote or hybrid applications will be considered Job Summary The Maintenance Trainer is responsible for helping to plan, develop, and deliver training and materials to the maintenance department.
He/she is also responsible for the overall execution and effectiveness of the training delivered to maintenance technicians in the department.
Position Duties and Responsibilities Identify and implement improvements to training programs as well as make recommendations to vendor supplied training, to reflect changes in technology and/or procedures.
Conduct follow-up assessments on technicians to measure effectiveness of training.
Effectively deliver training courses via classroom and hands-on environment to Technicians at all levels to include maintenance specific systems, applications and procedures.
Attend training sessions and classes provided by manufacturers and experts in the maintenance industry to stay current with the latest technology and repair procedures.
Develop and conduct refresher training courses for the Technicians as well as training courses on basic and safe work practices.
Develop best practice procedures for major repairs.
Maintain training records in computerized system and prepare and submit required reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Assists supervisors with training needs, performance issues when training related.
Conduct or support, where applicable, internal or external audits of the training system Ensure technical and/or training manuals are updated to support company specific systems, applications and procedures.
Understand and implement safe work practices and enforce safety policies and procedures of trainees in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
Provide training and presentations in a positive and professional manner and ensure classroom management and enforcement of company policies and procedures.
Selects and orders training materials necessary for training.
Maintain basic knowledge of SOP system.
Including approval, management, filing and sharing.
Qualifications/Requirements Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or related discipline (or) Equivalent experience 4-6 years of experience in a maintenance or technical instruction 2 years of experience conducting training in a manufacturing environment Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong data analysis skills and ability to solve problems, identify patterns and report relevant data to senior level management Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance processes Effective leadership skills with ability to positively influence and motivate others to change Self-motivated, self-directing, strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
Physical Requirements:
